The Just Juries Institute (JJI)

Master the Art of Jury Selection. Strengthen the Integrity of the Box.

Hosted by The Juror Project in New Orleans, JJI is a 2.5 day intensive training opportunity designed for criminal defense attorneys and public defenders focused on strengthening voir dire skills and sharpening fair cross-section challenges.

This opportunity takes participants into live practice where they receive real time community feedback, and review recorded sessions to refine strategy, tone, and presence. The goal is to sharpen your ability to identify bias, connect with jurors, and build a jury that can fully hear your client’s story.

What You Will Experience

You will learn how to integrate your case theory into jury selection in a way that is clear and grounded. You will build the skills to challenge underrepresentative jury pools using constitutional and procedural tools. You will participate in live voir dire sessions with mock juries made up of New Orleans residents, allowing you to hear directly how your language, tone, and presence land in real time.

Each session is recorded so you can review your performance and identify where adjustments can strengthen your approach.
