Having performed to enthusiastic audiences here in previous years, Julie July is delighted to be back at one of her favourite summer gatherings.The band’s roots are deeply connected to the music of the late Sandy Denny, whose writing and voice helped define the golden era of British folk-rock. Julie first came to prominence performing songs from Sandy’s celebrated catalogue — honouring her legacy with sensitivity and authenticity — while gradually opening the door to original material shaped by the band’s creative contributors. Sandy’s influence continues to flow through their sound: the poetic lyricism, emotional resonance, and timeless melodic sensibility.
In 2026, Julie July will be releasing her fourth original album — a body of work that moves beyond homage to capture the essence of 70s folk-rock while re-imagining it for the 21st century.
