What happens when you put several bands, tattoo artist, painters, photographers, designers, musicians together - off and on stage - With loads of funky colors and vibes with an International vibe?
On a damn tuesday?
The Jukejoint happens!!
We welcome you to the Jukejoint!
Bring your friends, your instruments and your high spirits. The houseband will open the evening setting the vibe, next we will have concerts from three awesome local artists. Last but not least we will open the stage for any musician, singer, artist, lyricist, dancer for a jam-session!
We will have an art corner with art from several artists, where you can enjoy art and support our local artists.
And you can also get that tattoo you always wanted from the fabulous artists at Genistreker Tattoos!

HIP HOP FRA MANGER FHS
Rapperene Ady, Vimsen, EL Jefe og HELENA skal spille egne låter, i en spennende besetning hvor de kombinerer tracks med egne produksjoner, og live band. De har med seg et band bestående av dyktige musikere, også fra Manger folkehøgskole. De lover en konsert med god stemning, rytme, og innholdsrike tekster.
Band og artister fra Manger har vi god erfaring med på jukejoint! De unge lovende spirene skuffer aldri, så dette er absolutt verdt å få med seg!
PAPA PAUL
Papa Paul aka mr Congolese waist is a multidiciplinary artist. His music is about vibes, love, unity and spreading joy with common sense. Energy bombe on and off the stage. With a unique approach to the craft of rhythm and poetry, Ordføreren Pål mixes norsk, english and swahili in his expression over instrumentals that leaves an impression.
With him is his frequent collaborator Lixalixous a tanzanian /norwegian singer and songwriter, focusing on exploring and defining her own musical style, mostly afropop and R&B.
THIS is gonna blow the roof! We are so excited to have Papa Paul opening the season for us!
PHASEMACHINE
Phase machine ble etablert i 2020 og har siden spilt på kjente bergensscener som Madam Felle, Hulen, Scruffy Murphys og Tegleverket. Dette er rock til benet med klassisk rock som vil gi en livsopplevelse til hun som elsker rockeballader, musikkleksikonet som har ventet på thin lizzy covre hele livet og alle som bare må synge når beatles "come togheter" eller "johnny B goode" og blues brothers call and response låter spilles. Det er kjærligheten til musikk som driver oss og å dele denne med menneskene i publikum.

Exhibition:
Adomuk: The potential within him shows itself through Adomuk’s lack of fear and limitations which are usually characteristic for today’s artists. He enters the areas of pop-culture which are often inaccessible to the art world. He often uses fascinations which one finds hard to admit to having. He creates forms out of the influence of the world of computer games, films, all kinds of secrets and deviations. Later on he deforms them and cuts out from their previous meaning. This is how his ceramic and plastic objects, video works and sound compositions come to being. They become messages from the nonexistent areas of culture.

Art Corner:
boemo: boemo is a Bergen based artist, with roots in Botswana. A self taught, contemporary artist who’s been active for over 10 years. A stencil artist in the beginning, his work slowly evolved to what it is today. Boemo’s art blurs the line between the street art and indoor art. Punchy motifs on a variety of material and in a variety of medium, delivering a short, sharp message. Intricately constructed and layered enough to keep engaging for a long time.

Karoline the Crochet Queen: Karoline Browne Teigen is a 29 year old woman from Stavanger who has settled here in Bergen. She has a passionate relationship to textiles and and colours and loves to retire into her own world where crochet is in focus. What she makes is a sort of physical manifestation of what’s going on in her mind. She hopes it can spread some joy to the people around her.

Mia: Mia is a multitalented artist, who mainly works with acrylic paint. She loves discovering new processes, techniques and materials and has a passion for upcycling.
She draws her inspiration from exploring the chaotic power of existence.

INKI: Ingeborg Haddal, also known as; INKI, is a Norwegian illustrator who creates naive, mystical scenes with animal characters at the center. Her style combines Scandinavian simplicity with Japanese aesthetics, inspired by two years in Japan and an education from the Bergen Art School.
