Rodolfo Caivano, the bandoneon, brings a wealth of experience to the group. Originally from Mendoza, Argentina, and trained in the music capital of Buenos Aires, he has made Canberra his home after an impressive journey developing Tango across Australia. Rodolfo's contributions have been instrumental in forming orchestras in Melbourne and Adelaide, and he has graced the stages of major cities and celebrated Milongas across the country, including a standout performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House last year.
As a musical Director John Yoon is a Pianist who studied at the ANU School of Music from 2009 - 2014. Nowadays, he can be variously found in musical theatre orchestras, and accompanying solo performers and choirs.
Eloise Reddy, on the violin, an Australian-Uruguayan tango violinist, adds her flair to the ensemble. With over a decade of experience performing with chamber and orchestral groups across Sydney, Canberra, and regional NSW, she is a true asset to the group.
Liz, who leads the Double bass, initially pursued a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in music. Though her first love was the violin, her heart has found a new rhythm in the double bass since moving to Canberra.
Matthew Lustri, a talented guitarist and a staple of the Canberra music scene since 2005, brings his diverse musical background to the quintet. He studied jazz guitar at the ANU School of Music and has shared his love of music with students of all ages for over 15 years. Known for his skills and unique style, Matthew contributes much creativity as he balances multiple music genres.
The evening will be further enriched by special guest Jelin Palm, known as Jellybean Comedy, who will add a delightful comedic twist to the Tango experience. A force in Canberra's comedy scene, Jelin is a two-time Raw state finalist and has shared the stage with comedy legends like Dane Simpson, Peter Helliar, and Chris Ryan, ensuring laughter and entertainment throughout the night!
Prepare for an unforgettable night of music, laughter, and pure Tango magic!
