The Journey of Light: 2023-2024 Season Subscription (3 Concerts)

CONCERT 1 - Light and Dark: A Musical Contrast (Nov. 11/23 - 7:30 pm)

This concert will explore the interplay of light and darkness through music, reflecting the various stages of light in our lives. We will feature the Canadian premiere of Magnificat by Dale Trumbore, as well as featured composers: Gerda Blok-Wilson, Eric Whitacre, Andrew Balfour, and Dr. Laura Sgroi.

CONCERT 2 - Light of Hope (Mar. 2/24 - 7:30 pm)

In times of uncertainty, this concert explores the theme of hope and resilience, with music that brings forth the feelings of optimism, resilience, and positivity. This concert will feature a world premiere by Dr. Kevin Lau, as well as featured composers: Andrew Balfour and Dr. Stephanie Martin.

CONCERT 3 - A Prism of Sound (May 11/24 - 7:30 pm)

This concert features music that represents the different facets of the human experience, drawing inspiration from a prism, which disperses light into a spectrum of colours. We will have the world premiere of Fragments by Saman Shahi, with the entire program featuring an all Canadian composer line up.
