This presentation will share imagery created on several phones. Those images that have been edited on the phone. My goal has been to travel light, and keep the editing to a minimum. My photographic journey has led me to see the world around me in such a way that relates to my artistic vision. To quote Ernst Haas. "I don't want to see new things, I want to see things new." Using a phone allows me to be totally immersed in my surroundings and concentrate on the basic elements of composition and design.Peter Ferguson Biography
Peter Ferguson is currently the vice president and competitions director for the Welland Photographic Club. He has been an active member in that club for the past 17 years and has achieved the level of Master Image Maker in club competitions. He lives in Fonthill with his wife of 35 years, Lynda.
Peter's photographic journey began 25 years ago when he retired from a teaching career and delved into the new world of digital imagery. From years of adventures in nature to the shock of Covid, Peter's journey shifted to the urban landscape and for the past 3 years he has been using cell phones for all of his image making.
Tonight Peter will share Pictorial, Creative and Nature imagery as well as discuss the pros and cons of using a cell phone in these fields.
