Join us for an intimate evening of world-class jazz in one of the city’s coziest venues, right on Music Mile. Twice a month, Juno Award Winner Scott Morin curates and hosts a rotating lineup of top-tier jazz musicians - both instrumentalists and vocalists - from Calgary, across Canada and around the world. All shows are guaranteed to feature swinging, burning jazz and improvisation from some of the most talented and dedicated artists anywhere, all in the setting of the coolest little spot in town.

This series is meant to give Calgary jazz and soulful music fans a chance to hear specially-curated concerts and ensembles that you will not hear anywhere else. Each Jazz at the Attic show is an experience filled with memorable moments, mixed with a venue offering specially created cocktails and an incredible menu of pizza and pasta.

Calgary jazz drummer Jon McCaslin presents an evening of original music featuring his quintet with Sean Craig on tenor saxophone, Aaron Shorr on guitar, Chris Tauchner on piano and Jeff Gammon on bass.

His music is inspired by the great jazz drummers and rhythm masters including Max Roach, Art Blakey and Jeff "Tain" Watts.

A frequent collaborator with many of Calgary's jazz artists including the 9th Avenue Big Band, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and the Calgary Jazz Composers Collective, McCaslin is excited to bring his own music to life at The Attic for a special evening of hard swinging grooves and compelling original compositions.
