Join us for an amazing night of music and dancing. We open this early show with a swing dance lesson from instructor Steve Conrad at 6:30pm. Then, it's a set of dirty blues from Scarlette and the Little Deaths at 7pm. Then at 8pm, the Jive Aces take the stage for a high-energy fun swing, jazz, early Rock and Roll, and blues performance like no other.
This will be Steve Conrad's final show at the Rhythm Room after 31 years of booking swing, jazz, and blues shows. It will also be his 50th birthday celebration! The Rhythm Room has been sold and is closing in May 2026. Come say goodbye to this great venue for live music for so many years.
Together for over three decades, this extremely popular six piece group have performed at thousands of festivals, theatres and events throughout the UK, Europe and USA, as well as Japan, Israel, South Africa, Morrocco and the Caribbean, more than 40 countries in all.
The Jive Aces are renowned for their high energy Jump Jive music (the exciting sound where Swing meets Rock ‘n Roll) and spectacular stage show.They combine a mixture of fresh arrangements of swing - songs made famous by such greats as Louis Prima, Cab Calloway, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Big Joe Turner and Sammy Davis Jr. - along with a selection of superb swinging originals taken from their studio albums.
The Jive Aces opened the London Olympics, played for the Queen of England at her Diamond Jubilee, were the first band to make it to the finals of Britain's Got Talent, had several viral videos, and have toured around the world many times times.
This event will be a fundraiser for the Ukulele Kids Club, a non-profit organization providing hospitalized children with ukuleles in partnership with music therapists around the world. This show will specifically support programs Phoenix Children's Hospital and other Phoenix area hospitals. There will be a silent auction and a raffle. More about UKC: www.theukc.org
