The Jeff Haas Quintet makes their Blue Llama debut on November 30th with two sets, one from 6:30-7:30pm and the other from 9:00-10:00pm.
The Jeff Haas Quintet transcends traditional jazz boundaries with Haas’s deeply personal original music, the confluence of his passion for jazz, funk, Judaic and classical music. Trumpeter Anthony Stanco, saxophonist Laurie Sears, Marion Hayden on bass and drummer Tariq Gardner bring their own heart and soul to Jeff’s music. The result is, in the words of Jeff’s longtime compositional mentor, jazz master Marcus Belgrave, “An intriguing tapestry rich with ethnicity and improvisation.”
