**The Jeff Evans Porkestra with special guest Garrett Freireich & The Syndrome live at Eddie's Attic!**Americana roots rockers The Jeff Evans Porkestra celebrate the release of their new album, When Pigs Dance, Saturday March 8 at Eddie’s Attic, Atlanta's premier listening room. Following 2024's critically acclaimed release, Willow Pillow, When Pigs Dance features several of Evans' best songs from the past quarter century - adding newer elements such as piano, fiddle and saxophone to Evans' rock and blues styles honed over 9 releases with his original band Chickens and Pigs. "For this project, we cherry-picked tunes representing not just my favorites, but those of our long-time listeners and fans as well, " says Evans. "We put these songs in the mirror and let them discover new ways of expressing their intents and passions... as a wise man once told me, there's more than one way to kiss a girl." The EP, like many of Evans' previous records, was tracked and mixed at Sean McPherson's East Atlanta Recording. "Sean's great to work with; he's got loads of fantastic vintage gear, along with a great ear and a deep understanding of how I wish my records to sound. Often he knows what I'm looking for even before I figure it out myself."
Every ticket for the March 8 performance at Eddie’s Attic comes with a free copy of When Pigs Dance. So come on out for a Saturday night of dancing and singing along to happy, memorable choruses and swinging, bluesy beats with the Jeff Evans Porkestra!
*Garrett Freireich & The Syndrome*
Revival, the second solo album and seventh as a singer/songwriter from Garrett Freireich, is both an album name and a nod to Garrett’s perseverance and desire to continue on his musical journey. The Paul Warner-produced songs are personal yet universal, weaving lyrical stories and soundscapes into a tapestry of Americana-based songs. Garrett survived a life-threatening illness requiring multiple surgeries during the making of this collection of Americana songs. In fact, the recording sessions had to be split nearly a year apart while he endured months of recovery in between. Having been told that he may never sing or play guitar again, Garrett is very proud to have proven that prognosis false and has gone on to create the best album of his musical career.
Joining Garrett for this special show at Eddie’s Attic will be Atlanta’s own The Syndrome, featuring Deep Shag and Tall Poppy Syndrome members David Bittner, Suzanne Green, Robert Green, and Ken Green.
