The Jake Hardison Memorial Challenger Jamboree is May 11th & 12th at Azalea/Fleet Park Little League. 1130 Pineridge Rd. Norfolk, Va 23502Little League Challenger is the division for our players with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The Jake Hardison Memorial Challenger Jamboree is a weekend event dedicated just to these teams. It's like their own World Series!
We are asking you to help us make this a weekend they will never forget. You won't either! Anyone over the age of 9 can volunteer to be a buddy to a challenger player. Buddies shadow the challenger player; maybe push their wheelchair or just help them bat and run the bases.
We also need teenagers or adults to be announcers and umpires. Don't worry about the rules because there are no balls, strikes or outs so you are just calling everyone safe and making sure they have a good time.
It is so much fun getting to know these amazing players.
