Ivas has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the STL music scene. He is a working-class white blues musician who got his inspiration listening to the greats. Whether it was BB, Muddy or The Wolf, Dr. John or Dwayne Allman, Ivas soaked it all in. He wakes up playing the guitar and goes to sleep the same way. All day, every day. In case you are curious, "Ivas" is an ethnic take on Ivan that came out of central Europe. Brought up in Southern Missouri, he learned to play at a young age, and has refined his song list and perfected his craft, with decades of experience under his belt.
For this show, Ivas will "unplug" a bit. He won't be screaming with the guitar as much as he might at a BB's show or at an outdoor amphitheater. This will be more of a living room show where he can show his considerable chops in the more subtle changes and progressions.
Benet Schaeffer worked at O'Connell's as a busboy in the 70's when he was a wee lad. He got an education, let's just put it that way. He is much happier as a drummer, but he had a lot of as a busser, too. ?
