About this Event
The Illinois State Museum’s Teacher’s Lounge is excited to present Teaching Climate Change: An Educator's Guide to Nurturing Hope and Resilience by Bertha Vasquez, Kimi Waite, and Lauren Madden.
Teaching Climate Change explores practical, evidence-based, and NGSS-aligned strategies for addressing the science of climate change while building student agency and reducing climate anxiety.
Join Curator of Science Education Alex Ruger for a discussion on bringing the lessons of Teaching Climate Change into the classroom with care, curiosity, and critical thinking.
Educators who participate in the Book Chat may receive a free copy of Teaching Climate Change, while supplies last. After registering, teachers may pick up their copy at the Illinois State Museum, 502 S. Spring Street, downtown Springfield, Illinois.
This virtual program is free to attend, but registration is required. Participants will receive one CPDU credit.
