About this Event
London Fashion Week showcases exciting new talents emerging from the fashion industry and some of the world's leading fashion colleges and universities. Bringing to life rich fashion and textile history stretching back to Roman times, Culture Mile BID will be celebrating LFW 2026 with guided walking tours through this unique area of London. Iconic sights – including historic Smithfield, the modernist Barbican Estate and the gleaming new towers around Moorgate – will be explored.
With fashion and clothing woven into the story at every turn, the route uncovers the neighbourhood’s rag trade roots, from medieval cloth merchants to the Jewish immigrants who shaped the industry and the role of power dressing in the City today.
These insightful tours will be led by Susannah Cohen AITG - former fashion journalist, City of London Green Badge guide and Culture Mile resident.
Accessibility:
o Approximately 2km overall, across mainly flat terrain.
o The route includes sets of steps: one has an elevator; the other two might entail rerouting as required.
