About this Event

This training invites participants to explore the intersections between autism, trauma and gender-based violence (GBV) by examining the different cognitive styles, the invisible end of the spectrum, survival strategies, differences within our social interactions and communication styles, sensory sensitivities and how discomfort, distress and trauma can manifest. GBV and trauma will also be explored to demonstrate the unique harms and disadvantages this demographic experiences.

This learning opportunity is shaped by the lived experiences and perspectives of autistic people. It promotes neuro-inclusive and neuro-affirming practices that help you recognise, respect and value autistic people, creating environments where everyone can thrive as their authentic selves.

This training is open to volunteers, frontline workers, line-managers, and Third Sector colleagues
