Ásef
The name Ásef has its origins in Arabic and Persian cultures. It is a popular name in Muslim communities and carries spiritual and cultural significance. In Hebrew, the word means to gather or harvest. Ásef has a unique sound melding Middle eastern overtones with jazz improvisation. The members of the group bring to the stage many years of experience playing a variety of music from around the world including Balkan folk, Tango, Klezmer, Flamenco and Bebop. Their compositions
embrace this vast range of musical sounds taking the audience on a truly unique musical journey.
The band members hope this music will help us all to come together peacefully despite our differences.
