The Inclusion Foundations: practical ways to strengthen equity at work

Join Pathways to Equity for a free, high-value morning session designed to help organisations move beyond statements of intent and into meaningful, practical action on equity, inclusion, accessibility and workplace culture.

This session is for organisations that want to build fairer, more inclusive and more accessible workplaces, but are not always sure where to focus first, what good practice looks like in reality, or how to turn values into consistent action.

You will leave with practical insight, honest reflection points and realistic actions that can strengthen culture, improve confidence and support more inclusive ways of working.

What to expect
  • A practical, evidence-led session on inclusion, accessibility and workplace culture
  • Clear insight into what strong practice looks like in reality
  • Space to reflect on your organisation’s current approach
  • Useful ideas you can take away and apply immediately
  • Interactive discussion and opportunities to connect with other businesses in Greater Glasgow

Who this is for

This session is particularly relevant for:

  • business owners and founders
  • HR, people and culture leads
  • managers and team leaders
  • organisations reviewing their EDI and accessibility approach
  • employers who want to build a healthier, fairer workplace culture

Led by Dr Damon Young, founder of Pathways to Equity

This session is led by Dr Damon Young, founder of Pathways to Equity. Damon holds a doctorate focused on EDI policy implementation and enactment in organisations, with expertise in why inclusion strategies often fail to translate into meaningful change in practice.

His work brings together research, practical implementation, accessibility and equality law, helping organisations embed EDI and accessibility into policy, culture, decision-making and everyday workflow. The session is designed to be practical, relevant and grounded in the real challenges organisations are facing — not generic, high-level or box-ticking.

Why attend

This is not a generic awareness session. It is designed to help organisations think more clearly, act more confidently and make practical progress on inclusion and accessibility.

You will leave with:

  • clearer understanding of where your organisation may be getting stuck
  • practical ideas to strengthen inclusion and accessibility
  • greater confidence about what meaningful action can look like
  • useful connections with other businesses and professionals in the region

Places are limited, so early booking is encouraged.
