Join us for the inaugural Ladybug Race! This event promises to be a day full of sailing, learning, and camaraderie. The Race: Captains will put their vessels and crew to the test on the Tolomato River, just north of the Vilano Bridge. Boats can compete in Cruising and Performance classes. Everyone is equal in this race, with no handicaps given based on gender. An all-female class will compete for the Ladybug Trophy.
Educational Workshops: Instructors, sailing experts, and local business professionals will host an array of informative sailing workshops for both novices and seasoned sailors. Topics include diesel engine care, weather forecasting, mini Learn to Sail lessons, living aboard, and more.
Yacht Sales: All Points Yacht Sales will have luxury sailing craft available for tour and purchase. Sailors can ask questions from knowledgeable staff and sail away on their dream boat! Brokers are invited to display their current commissions.
Awards Dinner: The day will be topped off with a fabulous awards dinner, where the best racers are recognized. Dinner will be provided. Captains, crew, vendors, instructors, and sponsors are all invited to mix, mingle, and celebrate the day.
We believe that sailing is for everyone! Proceeds from the Ladybug Race will benefit the Women on the Water program, providing sailing skills, practical experience, and confidence to women of all ages and sailing abilities.
