About this Event

We define family engagement and discuss why it matters in early childhood education. We then introduce key players in family engagement and provide examples of effective family engagement in action. After a group discussion, participants will leave with a toolkit of ideas for engagement.

This professional development is presented by Jane Anderson

Early Stages is an evaluation center that works with families to identify and address developmental delays and disabilities in children aged 2 years 8 months to 5 years 10 months. A program of DC Public Schools (DCPS), we provide evaluations for DC residents who have not yet entered the school system or are currently homeschooled. Early Stages also serves families living outside of DC if their children attend a DC private school or DC childcare center. All our services are completely FREE.
