The Imperial Theatre Mohawk Alliance is proud to present the fabulous Queen City Cabaret as our final fall season Main Stage performer. Queen City Cabaret will usher in the holiday season with a mix of vintage pop and jazz, featuring some of your favorite tunes from the Great American Songbook. As the Alliance fundraises to revitalize the Imperial Theatre and to build the Mohawk Performing Arts and Education Annex, The Imperial Presents is an opportunity for Cincinnati audiences to witness the vision of “A Stage for All Reasons” in action while playing a starring role in its realization.
Queen City Cabaret is a Cincinnati-based arts organization and musical duo that brings captivating performances of vintage jazz and pop to venues across the country. Founded by professional musicians (and friends!) Sarah Folsom and Matthew Umphreys in 2018, QCC celebrates the beloved songs and stories of 20th century American commercial music with intimate cabarets, large-scale concerts, and everything in between. With their signature twist of whimsy, QCC’s expertly-curated performances are designed to take listeners on a “sentimental journey,” reviving and refreshing timeless classics from the Great American Songbook that still resonate deeply with today’s audiences. QCC's performances have been featured by The Carnegie, The Cincinnati Opera, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Memorial Hall, The Washington Opera House, The Fitton Center for Creative Arts, as well as on TV and radio with CET, TVHamilton, WVXU and WGUC. In 2021, they released their first album, “Count Your Blessings: A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney.”
Join us for The Imperial Presents: Fall Performance Series featuring “Queen City Cabaret” on Wednesday, November 13th, at OTR StillHouse. Doors open at 7:00pm. Concert starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at imperialmohawk.org/events or at the door. Your attendance supports both local artists and the catalytic project to create the Imperial Theatre-Mohawk Performing Arts and Education Center.
