The I.D.I.O.T.s present(s) INDIE NIGHT—a live comedy event featuring a full lineup of indie improv troupes from Dallas, TX and beyond. “I.D.I.O.T.s” stands for Independent Dallas Improv on TuesdayS, and each event is a celebration of live comedy and Dallas’ vibrant local comedy community.
Join us for our ninth event and TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY show on Tuesday, November 19th at Deep Ellum Art Co., where we’ll be showcasing a full night of comedy and fun celebratory surprises! HOW THE HECK IS THIS SHOW FREE?
To make this event possible, Indie Night depends on your kindness and support! Our primary goal is to sustain this quarterly event and keep the show accessible. We are grateful for any support, whether you share a post, buy a shirt, or just come to hang out. They are all equally important and appreciated. If you wish to contribute to Indie Night, we will also be accepting contributions via cash or Venmo on the night of the event. Contributors will be entered in a RAFFLE and we’ll be giving away fun prizes throughout the night!
All contributions collected will be used to cover rental fees and other associated costs for this and future Indie Night shows. We do not profit off this event or pay ourselves personally. Additionally, a portion of each show’s contributions is always donated to a local arts organization as a way to pay it forward and give back to other creative communities in the city. Since November 2022, Indie Night has shared proceeds with Friends of Fair Park, The Dallas Black Dance Academy, NTPA Starcatchers, Arts Mission Oak Cliff, SheDFW, and Junior Players.
CONCESSIONS AND REFRESHMENTS
Please, no outside food or drinks. Complimentary snacks will be provided, and non-alcoholic bevs and booze can be purchased at the Deep Ellum Art Co. bar.
MEET YOUR HOSTS
Hi, we’re The Idiots! We’re a group of friends and performers who produce Indie Night, a quarterly special event celebrating Dallas’ vibrant local comedy community. This city is OOZING with talent, and we are proud to bring the city a space where improv is the main event and our friends are in the spotlight. The people in this community are a big reason why we do what we do, and we love showcasing the talent of our community in unexpected and interesting spaces. Since November 2022, we’ve brought comedy to a variety of iconic local theaters and featured over 130 performers on our stage. We are excited to keep the party going with our ninth show and TWO-YEAR ANNIE at Deep Ellum Art Co. on Tuesday, November 19th! The Idiots who bring you this show are: Ashley Rountree, Beth Jones, Chelsea Gomez, Madi Crank, Raye Maddox, and Stefan Newman.
