The ICS 2025 Gala Awards Dinner "From Earth to Art"

Join the ICS Board of Directors for one of Washington DC’s most memorable evenings at the Embassy of Italy on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

The ICS Gala is an occasion to celebrate the excellence of Italian culture in its many facets and includes Honorary Guests of international acclaim, recognized for their successful careers in the world.

This year, our theme revolves around Italian cuisine, which has been nominated for inclusion in UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage. Every November, Italian Embassies and Cultural Institutes around the world come together to honor the flavors, traditions, and stories that make Italian food a global treasure.

We are especially honored to welcome Chef Massimo Bottura, one of the most innovative and influential chefs in the world. A visionary restaurateur and entrepreneur, Bottura has redefined Italian cuisine through creativity and passion, while also using food as a powerful tool for social change, sustainability, and cultural dialogue. His acclaimed restaurant Osteria Francescana has earned multiple international honors, and his non-profit Food for Soul works to combat food waste and social isolation.

The ICS Gala serves as our primary fundraising event. By purchasing a ticket, you contribute to our school for children, teens, and adults, along with our scholarship awards, concerts, art exhibits, and numerous cultural events that bring the richness of Italian culture to Washington. We also host several free events to ensure inclusivity, because we strongly believe that culture should be accessible to all.
