About the Artists:The Tapi ProjectThe Tapi Project is a Surat-based ensemble that blends folk traditions with contemporary sounds, drawing from jazz, rock, funk, trip-hop and ambient textures. Formed in 2014, the band’s music grows organically from poetry, travel and observations of modern India, exploring themes of rivers, lost roots, alienation and the search for self. Led by Yogendra Saniyawala, Swati Minaxi, Gaurav Kapadia and Biju Nambiar, The Tapi Project has carried its genre-fluid sound across India and more than 30 countries, building a distinctive musical language that sits between the traditional and the contemporary.Vasu Dixit CollectiveVasu Dixit Collective (VDC) is an ensemble of like-minded musicians and artists whose collaboration brings together musicianship, creativity and tradition. The collective creates Electronic Folk, or Folktronica, in Kannada and Hindi, with special renditions of poetry by Puranadaradasa, Basavanna and Kabir, alongside contributions from contemporary poets, lyricists and writers. An extension of Vasu Dixit’s musical journey, VDC brings together his work as a composer, musician and filmmaker, weaving diverse artistic influences into an energetic, soulful and celebratory musical space.The Humming Tree:The Humming Tree - A grassroots performance venue in Bangalore, running from 2013 to 2019 and in the process becoming a cornerstone of Bangalore’s independent music, art, and cultural ecosystem. Now, in 2026, The Humming Tree is back in a brand-new, purpose-designed space in Indiranagar. Built across 12,000 sq. ft., the venue features a 600+ capacity performance space, world-class sound and lighting systems, and a diverse F&B proposition.
