Following a run-in with the local sheriff, nightclub owner Dolemite flees to California where he finds himself aiding a local madame in her war against the mob that’s been kidnapping her girls! Bursting with manic energy, THE HUMAN TORNADO finds its star Rudy Ray Moore at the height of his crazed charisma!

In the summer of 1980, Times Square projectionist Bill Landis began documenting New York’s grindhouse theaters in his seminal zine SLEAZOID EXPRESS; later bringing on Michelle Clifford (co-author of the Kenneth Anger biography, Anger) to expand the mag’s coverage of demented films. While weathering poverty and drug addiction, Landis and Clifford would spend years meticulously cataloging the history of these disreputable cinemas along 42nd street and the exploitation flicks they once screened.

Their exploitation documentation, now collected in paperback form, stands as a seminal text in the world of trash cinema and we’re here to pay tribute to this catalog of smut and the despicable films listed within.
