The Hum of the Universe with Maggie Stickney
About this Event
The Hum of the Universe invites you to begin with a 15-minute guided meditation, gently settling the mind and bringing you into the present moment. This is followed by a deeply immersive 45-minute sound bath, where the soothing vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, and other therapeutic instruments encourage profound relaxation and inner balance.
The guided meditation helps quiet mental chatter, ease tension, and prepare the body and mind to fully receive the healing frequencies of the sound bath. As the sound washes over you, it may help release stress, calm the nervous system, restore emotional balance, and leave you feeling refreshed, centred, and deeply relaxed.
A beautiful opportunity to pause, reconnect, and nurture your wellbeing.
Please bring a yoga mat, cushion, blanket, and anything else that will help you feel warm and comfortable.
Water is recommended to support hydration before and after the session.
Booking is essential.
---------------------------------------
Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes prior to start time - this should ensure I have enough time to set up, and still give everyone time to settle in.
I recommend bringing items to make yourself comfortable. Suggestions include:• Yoga mats / padded mats, folded duvets, fluffy blankets, sleeping bags – anything that will be comfy enough to lay on the floor for an hour• A cushion or pillow to lay your head on• Yoga bolster or something like a pillow to place under your knees and keep the lower back comfortable if necessary• Eye mask if you wish to fully block out any light• Things to keep warm like socks, blankets - please be aware it's natural for the body to cool down when laying still for a while• Wear comfy clothing• Water/soft drink (please do not consume alcohol or too much caffeine prior to the session; both can hinder the ability to relax)
Electronic devices should be on silent with the vibrate function off / fully switched off / or on aeroplane mode during the soundbath to minimise potential noise distraction for the group whilst relaxing
IMPORTANT:
Anyone with any medical concerns /questions should please contact their GP prior to booking.
Please do not attend if you are:
- In the first trimester of pregnancy
- Prone to seizures
- Have a pacemaker
- Have noise sensitivity
*By attending you agree to the above terms & conditions
