Join the seldom-seen Hukilau Hotshots for an early evening of 1940’s-era Hapa Haole swing music, dancing, exotic cocktails and delicious island fare.This 5-piece band of itinerant musicians includes Rusty Blake on steel guitar, who is traveling by tramp steamer all the way from Portland for this special evening.
Enjoy the sounds of the south seas, lovingly played in the hands of Rusty plus these certified musical authorities: Sage Guyton, ukulele; Carlos Reynoso, string bass; Chris Stevens, vibraphone; Dave Stuckey, resonator guitar/ukulele.
These prodigal prodigies will perform at everyone's favorite tropical hideaway - Secret Island, a subterranean speakeasy at 209 Pine Avenue in Long Beach.
