The HR Table: Connect, Learn & Lunch

Join us for an intimate networking lunch created for Black HR professionals who want to connect, share, and grow together.

Set around one table at The Botanist in Birmingham on Saturday 5th September, 1:00pm – 3:15pm, this is networking as it should be — warm, personal, and genuinely useful. With limited spaces, you won't be lost in a crowd or shouting over a room. Instead, you'll have real conversations with peers who understand your world.

Here's how it works. Over good food and easy conversation, we'll move through a series of one-to-one and small-group catch-ups, rotating so you get to meet everyone at the table. To spark the discussion, we'll put a few real HR themes on the table — think probationary periods, sick leave management, and other everyday challenges we may navigate. You bring your perspective, hear how others approach the same issues, and leave with fresh ideas you can actually use.

A note on tickets: Your ticket is £5 excluding a non-refundable booking fee. We will pool everyone's contribution and put it straight towards the group's food bill on the day, so we all share a little something together. Each guest then covers the rest of their own meal at the restaurant.

Refunds of £5 per ticket are available up to 2 days before the event.
