It's a new year! And for our first outing we'll be bringing the Hoo Ha to Attenborough Arts Late in January, before returning to our usual home, James's Bistro, in March.
As this is part of a wider event, the format will be a little different this time around. First of all, its a Friday, and as it's from 7-10pm, there are a maximum of 9 available slots for people to volunteer to DJ for 20 minutes each on vinyl, CD or digital (please let me know if you plan on doing the latter in advance though).
As for the theme? It's a little more open than usual. Local artist Tim Fowler's exhibition, "The Ground" is a key part of this event. There's more details here, so have a read - https://attenborougharts.com/whats-on/tim-fowler-the-ground/.
So you can either stick to "The Ground" as the overall theme, or pick tracks that fit alongside the story Tim is telling, it's up to you. But this is a much more open brief than usual so feel free to be creative. But also remember we're representing our night - this should be a good opportunity to introduce new people to what we do.
Otherwise, same rules apply, stick your name down here to be considered for the draw, which will take place in a week or so. Because of the earlier start, we'll make a decision on how the timeslot draw will work nearer the time based on demand. Also if you have any questions, let me know!
We will also be collecting for LAMP as usual too.
