About the Class

Looking for more than just another make and take class? Welcome to an immersive stained glass experience designed to make you feel as if you have stepped into another time—when stained glass was more than decoration. You will be surrounded by the look and feel of old-world stained glass, historic windows, rich color, traditional tools, and the atmosphere of a craft that has been passed down for centuries. Sample the feeling of medieval Europe while you have fun creating your own masterpiece.

In this fun 3-hour event, create and take home a beautiful leaded stained glass EMOSY-style project that you design yourself! You’ll choose from a treasure trove of authentic stained glass pieces to inspire your creativity and bring your vision to life. It’s easy and stress free - no glass cutting, drawing skill or patterns are required. Every project is unique and creates a memory to last generations, like the timeless beauty of stained glass windows.

Learn the ancient secrets of the stained glass process, including its historical and storytelling importance, how glass is made, the window making process, design fundamentals and why color and symbolism have always played such an important role in the craft. Then you will take on the role of a stained glass craftsperson yourself, using traditional tools and materials under the guidance of experienced instructors. Guests are welcome to dress in medieval-inspired clothing or festive attire to make the experience even more memorable. Class activities include design, selecting glass, shaping pieces with mosaic nippers, soldering, and assembly. Project materials, use of tools and equipment are included in the workshop price.

You will also be introduced to the EMOSY process—Emotion + Symbolism. Bring an idea, a happy memory, a celebration, a dream, or something meaningful from your life. We will help you use symbolic colors and shapes to turn that story into stained glass art. Tell your story the same way they did in the Middle Ages!

Mosaic Option: As an alternative, stained glass mosaic projects are an option for younger participants or for anyone who would like to create a unique lead-free piece of art

At the end of class, your project may be photographed and considered for inclusion in a Tulsa Stained Glass coloring book. You will also take home a professional family or group portrait to remember the event and share with friends.

Rage Room Experience

All classes include Rage Room smashing. Students are encouraged to write, draw or doodle an image of what makes them happy or sad on the dinnerware provided. In a symbolic gesture, the item is smashed to pieces, representing multiplied blessings or riddance of ill feelings.

The Fine Print:

• Closed toe shoes required. Glass or hot solder + feet = ouch! Long pants preferred for smashing activities.

• Participants sign a Personal Injury Waiver and an Intellectual Property Waiver to attend class. Please read Waiver before your event. There will be a copy for you to sign in person at the event. Adults must sign on behalf of minor participants. Photos and/or videos of you and your project may be used for promotional purposes on social media or other platforms. If you wish to be excluded, please notify us at check in.

• Rescheduling or cancelations are only accepted up to 48 hours before the event date. No refunds will be made for part or all of the class value after the cancelation deadline. Please email us at [email protected], and we will be happy to assist you in canceling or rescheduling. There is a $10 rescheduling fee per person. • Doors open 15 minutes prior to class and classes begin promptly at time listed.

• All minors need to be accompanied by an adult and all attendees must have a paid ticket. Minimum age is 15.

Garden Sculpture Stake - Plant your project in a flower pot or your garden with a metal stake for only $10. Please note that this option is completed at the conclusion of the class.
