About this Event

The HJUK Annual People Conference returns on 2nd March 2026 at The Ned London bringing together C- Suite professionals, HR Directors, Recruitment Leaders, L&D Specialists and Senior Operators for a day focused on the Three R’s: Recruitment, Retention and Rewards.

This year’s conference goes deeper into the people challenges shaping our sector, with new data, fresh perspectives and practical strategies hospitality leaders can take straight back into their organisations.

What to Expect

Building on last year’s sell-out event, the 2026 programme will explore the biggest shifts affecting hospitality people teams, including:

  • The UK’s Largest Hospitality Salary Survey 2026 - A first look at the latest results, benchmarked against the past five years of industry data.
  • Employment Law, Insurance & Risk Updates - Essential updates to help operators stay compliant, protected and confident in an evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Budget Pressures, Costs & Sector Outlook - Understanding the financial pressures facing hospitality and how people teams can plan effectively for 2026.
  • Retention Through Transparency - How reward structures, including tips and tronc, can support fairness, trust and long-term retention.
  • Supporting People Through Cancer - A focused session on how employers can support individuals, colleagues and families when cancer impacts the workplace.
  • An Interview with Bake Off: The Professionals Winner - Executive Pastry Chef at The Ned, sharing his journey, career insights and what excellence looks like at the highest level of hospitality.
  • The Overlooked Hospitality Sectors - CLEAR - Spotlighting Care, Leisure, Entertainment, Attractions and Retail and the transferable skills that connect them to hospitality.
  • Gen Z on Stage - Featuring apprentices and emerging talent, including Springboard's Young Chef of the Year, sharing why they chose hospitality and what the next generation expects from employers.
  • Leadership for the Modern Workforce - Why investing in leadership capability is critical for engagement, performance and retention.
  • Employer Branding & Microsites - How strong employer brands drive candidate engagement and support commercial growth, with practical examples and takeaways.
  • Keynote Session - Interview with an industry titan.

Full agenda details and speaker announcements will be shared in the new year.
