The History of Tustin’s Fire Department How did Tustin’s Volunteer firefighting force develop from a converted (and donated) Buick fire truck to a full-time department to part of the county-wide Orange County Fire Authority?
OCFA Fire Battalion Chief Marc Hawkins (retired), Laura Blaul (former Fire Marshall), and Tustin City Fireman Mike Ferdig (retired) will share the history of the department from a Volunteer Fire Dept, to a paid (career) Tustin Fire Dept, and now to be contracted with the Orange County Fire Authority.
This Night at the Museum meeting will be held on Friday, August 29 from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Tustin Area Museum, 345 El Camino Real in Downtown Tustin.
