There are many roads to Rome when it comes to healing our bodies, minds & lives. One powerful path that has blown me away in its ability to transform physical & emotional pain is energy work with the chakra system - a network of 7 major energy vortices/vortexes in humans (and other animals) that correspond to the endocrine gland system, which is responsible for making the hormones that largely orchestrate and determine one’s physical and mental health.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of working 1:1 with hundreds of patients in Vancouver & Edmonton to help them heal using a technique called bio-energy healing. About 10 years ago I read that like us the Earth also has 7 main chakras, and was intrigued to learn more. My research found that there was a general consensus about the location of each of the Earth’s chakras. Whether these spots were literal physical energy vortexes or more cultural/anthropologically significant spots, I wanted to visit them all to experience them for myself - and investigate the healing potential of being there!
So far I’ve made it to the Root chakra (Mt Shasta, California), the Crown Chakra (The Himalayas) & the Heart Chakra (Glastonbury/Avalon, UK). Solar Plexus (Uluru Australia) is up next! And I can report the energies at these locations are powerful and aligned with the characteristics of the same chakras in humans.
After thorough investigation and creating local ties, my vision & deep desire is to bring small groups to each of the chakras of the Earth for a deep dive into the themes of that chakra. I held the first Heart Chakra retreat last May, and it was beyond an honour to do that work and witness the transformational heart-healing of the group.
