The heART Garden Café - OCISLY @ The Miami Beach Botanical Garden

Welcome to our heART Garden Café at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. This unique, art-filled sanctuary where creativity meets calm - invites you to embrace everything that's going well—like this beautiful Miami weather— and, for a moment, to set aside the anxiety, exhaustion and disapointment of all that might not be going well in our lives.

Upon arrival, each guest will choose their own creative experience - between sculpting ceramics with air dry clay, painting with acrylic on a canvas or glazing a ceramic piece.

These experiences are fully self-guided, so feel free to explore at your own pace - although we highly recommend arriving on time for the shift you reserved, as we hope to accommodate guests and give everyone enough time before or after to enjoy the botanical garden.

This year has been a challenging journey for many of us, yet our resilience and commitment to kindness and radical optimism remain powerful antidotes. Let’s turn to art as a form of resistance against the endless demands of screens, the overstimulation of social media, and the sense of disconnect from our community.

How it works:

• Purchase a ticket - we have 2 different shifts - 11am or 1pm. Please sign up and commit to arrive at our check-in around that time. We encourage you to come early or stay after and explore the garden.

• Check in and choose your medium- we will have all the materials and tools necessary to create under the trees, and when you check in with us you will be able to choose between the following:

Sculpting Ceramics with Air Dry Clay - create fun ceramic pieces that you can take home with you

Painting on Canvas - look around and get inspired or bring your own inspo photos - and paint on an 8x10 canvas with acrylics

Painting Pottery (Glazing) - pick 1 piece of functional bisqueware (choices will be a vase, a bowl, or a mug) and your choice of underglaze colors to personalize your favorite design. We will keep the piece and fire it for you. Pick up will be coordinated with you via email (it may take between 2 - 3 weeks for the piece to be ready).

• Grab a drink from Super Wow Coffee - your ticket will include a coffee or drink from our amazing partners, you can purchase additional snacks or drinks from them.

Cancellation policy - reservations must be cancelled 24 hours before this event. Any cancallations after that will not be refunded, but will be credited towards a future event. No-shows will not be refunded or honored for future events. Please email us at [email protected] for more info.

Metered parking is available along 19th Street directly in front of the Garden and in an adjacent lot between Meridian Avenue and Convention Center Drive. Standard City of Miami Beach rates.

• Convenient parking garages are located on 17th & 18th Streets at a lower hourly rate. City of Miami Beach rates: $4 per hour street and surface parking lots, $2 per hour in the parking garages and $1 per hour for registered Miami Beach residents.

• NEW parking option: 300 parking spots are available on the rooftop (4th floor) of the Convention Center garage. 10 of these spots have signage indicating that they are for Garden visitors only — but Garden visitors may park in ANY Convention Center space and receive discounted parking. To access the rooftop spaces, enter the garage from the north end of Convention Center Drive, close to Dade Avenue. After you’ve parked just take the elevator to the first floor and follow the signage to get to the Garden. The cost for these spaces is $2 per hour (rather than the usual $20 flat fee). To receive the discount, Garden visitors should take their ticket to the Garden’s Botanical Boutique where it will be validated.
