The symphonic experience begins with Hathaway's classic hits and seamlessly transitions through Gospel, Blues, Jazz, and Soulful sounds. Our aim is to highlight Donny Hathaway's musical genius for today's audiences, illuminating his profound contributions to the musical canon. Directed and choreographed by Bridget L. Moore, this unique fusion of music and dance promises a modern interpretation that resonates with all audiences. Gary Williams, Principal at Booker T. Washington HSPVA, brings his musical prowess to the stage, providing audiences with his powerful vocals. Mirek.el, the unforgettable songstress adds a touch of soulfulness to the performance, enveloping listeners in her enchanting voice. And Brandon Goodluv, the charismatic and evocative poet weaves compelling spoken word pieces that enhance the overall experience. These artists come together with the incredible dancers that make up B. MOORE DANCE, along with our special guests to honor Donny Hathaway's legacy in "The Heart and Soul of Donny Hathaway," creating a memorable and engaging tribute to the iconic musician.
