On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the GIA will host our monthly Healthy Aging Lecture Series, but this one will be a little different.Join us for a Healthy Aging Lecture Series Special Event, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the TTUHSC Academic Event Center (AEC), located at 3601 4th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79430. This event will be part lecture and part memory screening. Memory Screenings will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the lecture will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Dr. Gayle Ayers, Co-Medical Director of the GIA Memory Clinic, presenting.
What is a cognitive screening?
Cognitive screenings or memory screenings, are safe and simple "check-ups" for your brain. By testing your memory and other thinking skills, these screenings can help in identifying any possible concerns you may have with your memory.
