                  On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the GIA will host our monthly Healthy Aging Lecture Series, but this one will be a little different.Join us for a Healthy Aging Lecture Series Special Event, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the TTUHSC Academic Event Center (AEC), located at 3601 4th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79430. This event will be part lecture and part memory screening. Memory Screenings will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the lecture will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Dr. Gayle Ayers, Co-Medical Director of the GIA Memory Clinic, presenting.
What is a cognitive screening?
Cognitive screenings or memory screenings, are safe and simple "check-ups" for your brain. By testing your memory and other thinking skills, these screenings can help in identifying any possible concerns you may have with your memory. With Dementia, early detection is critical for positive outcomes.
