About this Event
Are you a Sterling resident worried about air quality, data center pollution, or natural gas microgrids? Join fellow neighbors and friends at for The Health Costs of On-Site Power: A Q&A on the Vantage Data Center Air Quality Study to learn more about The Piedmont Environmental Council's newly released air study on the Vantage VA2 data center (22435 Glenn Dr) and have an opportunity pose questions to the lead author of the study, Michael Cork.
The independent analysis found emissions from the Vantage data center's onsite power could cause $53 millionβ$99 million per year in health-related damages, part of a growing public emergency.
This data center is the first of its kind in Loudoun to run 24/7 on its own onsite natural gas turbines, less than 1,000 feet from homes. But more data centers like it are planned.
Please join us as we acknowledge the impacts, answer questions and share what you can do next.
This event is free for Sterling residents. Space is limited; please RSVP.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. We look forward to having you join us!
* If you can't make it on April 9, we'll be sending out information and make the slides available about the event afterwards, so make sure you're signed up for PEC email alerts by visiting .
