About this Event
The Healing Feast offers food and community for healing connections with self, others, the earth, and the sacred. Singer/songwriter, sacred space facilitator, and cook facilitates this monthly series to share nurturing, globally-inspired food that is mindful of the earth, along with practices to help us embody joy, healing, creativity, and abundance. This month's Healing Feast is focused on Delicious Resistance, a Fat Tuesday celebration of revelry, pleasure activism, and social & spiritual transformation. Featured facilitators include:
is a live vocal looper, songwriter, and educator who creates full songs and soundscapes using only his voice and beatboxing with the aim of connecting people to themselves, each other, and the universe.
(she/her) is a black mixed race queer earth child and healing artist whose poetry and practice are created to be in service or her own and our collective liberation and return to Love.
, a virtual bakeshop with a delicious legacy in Ann Arbor, will be collaborating in the kitchen and providing our desserts
Menu: Barbacoa, a spiced, slow-cooked Oaxacan-seasoned delight with traditional beef and a vegan tofu option, served with rice, corn tortillas, and salsa verde. Dessert will be apple pie (with regular and vegan/gluten free options) and vegan/gf brownies. All food is allergen-friendly and we can accomodate additioanl dietary needs
Tickets: Sliding scale tickets (including child-price) are available in advance or at the event as long as supplies last. Ticket prices are a few dollars more the day of the event. Free tickets are available for people who have financial limitations and/or who feel they can best contribute to this event in other, non-monetary ways. Times: Registration, drinks, and mingling begins at 4:30, dinner 5:00 PM, participatory creative experience 5:30-7:45 PM.
