Rep. Alma Adams: The Honorable Alma Adams serves as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 12th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. She is founder and co-chair of the HBCU Caucus and a leading supporter of the Ignite HBCU Excellence Act aimed to expand federal investment and strengthen the long-term growth, innovation, and sustainability of Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the nation.

President Makola M. Abdullah: Dr. Makola M. Abdullah is an American academic leader and civil engineer who serves as the 14th president of Virginia State University since 2016.

Moderator:Jahliel Thurman is an alumnus of VSU. He is the host and producer of HBCU 101 a television show and podcast that discusses the lifestyle, culture, and entertainment of HBCUs.
