The Groovy Room - The Ultimate '70s Immersive Experience at the Legendary Showfolks of Sarasota Club!Come step into The Groovy Room. A time machine that transports you back to 1970s for an unforgettable evening of dancing to classic music videos which include TV commercials, all while lounging around on vintage living room furniture and playing with games and toys from the incredibly groovy ‘70s!
When was the last time you walked on shag carpeting, watched a movie on a tube TV, made an actual call on a rotary phone, ran a Hot Wheels car on a track or even peeked through a View Master?
You will be able to do all of this and much. much more at The Groovy Room, all while dancing to classic music concert videos and singing along with vintage TV show themes and commercials from two of the greatest decades of our lifetime…the ‘70s and ‘80s!
Bringing a fully interactive experience to your city to remember and relive the best of times, we always attempt to choose a unique venue in each city. We are honored and proud to announce The Groovy Room Experience will be held at the Legendary Showfolks of Sararsota Club!
This private club was designed and curated with love over 50 years ago by and for past and current circus entertainers. The walls are filled with photos and memorabilia and provide a history that has been seen by very few non-members of the club.
The Showfolks of Sarasota have agreed to allow us to present The Groovy Room Experience to a limited number of guests at this historic club in Sarasota for an evening of peace, love and happiness, celebrating the decade of happier, simpler times....the 1970's.
Your attendance will also help support this beautiful venue!
Admission for this event is extremely limited and includes the following:
• The Groovy Room Experience
• 1970's Living Room/Lounge Area
• Classic Music Videos/Commercials with Full PA, Video Screens & Lights
• Vintage Games/Toys/Museum Area
• Photo Booth with Retro Clothes, Banana Seat Bike and Vintage Salon Hair Dryers
• Props to recreate the Maxell "Blown Away" Poster
• Dancing All Night to Disco, Classic Rock, Funk and other hits of the '70s
• Two Free Drinks Are Included* - Additional drink tickets available at the event (Non-member admission only)
Price for Non- Members: $40.00 Advance / $45.00 Day of the Show
Price for Showfolks Members: $20.00 Advance / $25.00 Day of the Show
(*Two Free Drinks are included in the price of admission for non-members only. Showfolks members who purchase the $20/$25 admission tickets are permitted to purchase drinks directly at the bar.
Guests are strongly encouraged to dress in '70s attire! There will be prizes awarded for best dressed!
