Christmas Table Runner Cake Class
Create a showstopping Christmas centerpiece as you transform a long, elegant cake into a festive work of art featuring intricate vintage Lambeth piping in rich holiday colors.
What You'll Create
Each student will create one long, rectangular table runner-style cake, inspired by the trendy extra-long cakes designed to run beautifully down the center of a table.
We'll work with sheet cakes that are cut, stacked, and assembled to create the distinctive long, narrow shape of this style of cake. Students will then cover and decorate their cakes with beautiful vintage-inspired Lambeth piping, creating layers of swags, borders, shells, ruffles, and other decorative details.
To make your cake your own, each student may select up to two accent colors, in addition to the white base color, allowing you to create a Christmas color palette that fits your personal style.
Additional festive finishing details may be incorporated into the final design to complete the look.
What You'll Learn
This class combines cake construction with plenty of hands-on piping practice. Students will learn:
How to work with sheet cakes to create a long, rectangular table runner-style cake
How to properly cut, fill, stack, and assemble the cake
How to choose and use the proper cake board and support for a longer, more uniquely shaped cake
Tips for handling, decorating, and transporting an unusually long cake
How to work with a variety of piping tips
How to create classic vintage Lambeth-style piping
How to pipe swags, shells, borders, ruffles, and other decorative details
How to layer different piping techniques to create a cohesive vintage design
How to balance colors and piping placement across a long cake
How to customize your finished cake using your selected color palette

Choose Your Colors
Each student may choose up to two accent colors, which will be paired with the white base color of the cake.
Whether you prefer traditional Christmas red and emerald green, something softer and more elegant, or a completely different combination, you'll have the opportunity to customize your cake to your own style.
What's Included
All cake, buttercream, decorating materials, cake boards, and supplies needed during class are provided.
Each student will leave with their completed Christmas Table Runner Cake to take home.
Students may bring a drink, snack, and apron if they choose.
Please note: The classroom can get cold. A light jacket is recommended.
Ticket Information
Student Ticket — $110
This class is sold per individual student. Due to the size of the project, amount of hands-on work involved, and individual workspace required, Parent & Me tickets are not available for this class.
Each participant must have their own Student Ticket and will create their own cake.
Ticket Policy (Please Read Before Purchasing)
Late arrivals: To avoid disrupting instruction, students who arrive more than 10 minutes after the scheduled class start time will not be admitted into class. If you know you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. Students who fail to notify us in advance and are denied entry due to late arrival will forfeit their ticket and are not eligible for a refund or transfer.
All class tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason at any time. This includes cancellations, schedule conflicts, no-shows, late arrivals, illness, or failure to meet class requirements.
By purchasing a ticket, you are reserving a seat in class. Supplies are purchased, prepared, and portioned specifically for each student. Labor is involved in advance preparation and many materials cannot be reused once prepared.
If you cannot attend, you may request a one-time transfer with at least 48 hours' notice if space allows, but this is not guaranteed.
Failure to meet class requirements or follow class policies may result in denial of participation without refund.
