What’s on?:
The Phone Call bring their own unique brand of off kilter, "odd-ball" electro-rock-synth-pop to the house. Led by alleged ‘vocalist’ Steve Keane, ranting with the ardour of an irate academic, TPC deal in razor-sharp grooves, cranky electronics, wry observations, and arcane ecoterica. Think XTC, The Fall, LCD Soundsystem, etc. First album is a PBM personal favourite - let’s find out about the new album 2 together.
Powdered Cows are an avant-garde Bournemouth based song-writing powerhouse. Dreamy textures, jagged rhythms and poetic lyricism from the mythic man once known round these parts as Fox Will Eat Itself (iykyk)…
Live music from 8PM and throughout the night we have Vinyl DJ’s from PBM and Certain Sound playing the best in post-punk, classic hip-hop and more.
The Greyfriar will be free entry in the heart of Reading so everybody is welcome to come enjoy the music. But we suggest a £5 donation with us to support the artists and help us put on more events!
