The GreenHouse Record Camp

The GreenHouse Record Camp is a two-day music production masterclass hosted by Paul “Willie Green” Womack. Opening the doors to his studio The GreenHouse, Willie Green will produce, record, edit and mix a song for a special guest artist, utilizing a live band as well as top of the line tools from our partners ADK Microphones, Direct Sound headphones and Softube. There will also be prize giveaways and first look access to brand new software.

The Record Camp is an exclusive event, so guests will have an intimate and personalized experience. Don't miss this opportunity to learn first hand from one of the best in independant Hip-Hop production.

Info: Day One of the camp will begin with an introduction by Willie Green, followed by a brief discussion on the collection of ADK mics from CEO Miles Fulwider. Following the discussion, recording will begin with a band of professional NYC studio musicians. The band will improvise and create a composition on the spot, and then add additional guitar, percussion and piano overdubs as needed.

Info: After basic tracking, there will be a lunchtime debrief and conversation about miking techniques and recording concepts. Lunch will be provided. Guests will also have access to the demonstration room, where they can get hands on experience with the Softube Console 1 mixing system, in preparation for the next day’s mixing clinic.

Info: Following lunch, Willie Green will demonstrate his method of editing and sampling the morning’s recording (reminiscent of Green’s work with Armand Hammer on their acclaimed album “We Buy Diabetic Test Strips”), creating the beat that will be used for the vocal and mix sessions to follow.

Day One will end with a conversation period for questions and conceptual discussion. There will also be a microphone prize giveaway from ADK and a headphone giveaway from Direct Sound.

Info: Day Two of Record Camp will begin with a vocal clinic featuring our special guest artist, recording over the beat created the day before. The clinic will focus on microphone selection and technique, as well as vocal production and engineering best practices.

Info: Our Day Two lunchtime discussion will feature Todd Urban, General Manager of Softube (North America). Todd will walk us through the capabilities of the Console 1 mixing system, and guests will also get to experience a new and upcoming Softube product. Lunch will be provided.

Info: The Day Two afternoon session will be a clinic by Willie Green, mixing the
newly created composition. Green will share his mixing philosophies and
demonstrate advanced signal processing, providing insight and answering
questions along the way. The event will conclude with a final wrap up conversation and a second
giveaway, this time being Softube software plus a second Direct Sound
headphone giveaway.
