A peek behind the curtain at the circus? A dystopian secret police? A normal play featuring the regular things that happen with guns in plays? No matter what you’re looking for, we’ve got it at The Greenhouse!
The Greenhouse: an Emerging Voices Festival is a new works festival showcasing 12 short plays written, directed, and performed by local artists ranging from first-timers to seasoned vets. The festival is broken up into 2 programming blocks, each featuring 6 short plays and a finale performance by sketch comedy troupe @fishlicks.
Saturdays evening show and Sundays matinee will feature the following shows :
Taken Off Air, First Date?, Dog & Hawks Last Dance, The Bagmen, Maggie and Block Party.
ABOUT THE BROADWATER :
The Greenhouse is taking place in THE BLACK BOX THEATRE at the Broadwater. There is no dedicated parking— Just outside the Broadwater there is metered parking on Lillian Way and Santa Monica Blvd; South of the theater the street parking is unrestricted with the exception of street cleaning days.
THE BAR
The Broadwater Plunge bar is 21 and over, and valid ID is required. Sales and consumption are restricted to the bar— drinks cannot be taken out of the bar into the venues. Likewise, while there is a water station located in the bar for bar patrons, water cannot be taken out of the bar. Water bottles must be secured in bags or left with security at the front— patrons may not drink from water bottles inside the bar or refill them at the station.
The Plunge is open 7 days a week: Mon-Thu 7pm-Midnight, Fri & Sat 5pm-2am; Sun 5pm-Midnight
