Bringing together iconic text paintings, editions, artist books, works on paper, and a new body of bastardized oil paintings, The Greatest Show on Earth celebrates The Connor Brothers’ signature ability to rearrange the familiar into something unexpected, absurd, and thought-provoking.
For more than a decade, James Golding and Mike Snelle have used humor to challenge our assumptions and invite deeper questions. In their world, laughter is often the starting point, not the destination, and the most ridiculous pairings can reveal something surprisingly profound about ourselves.
