The Great Soup Adventure

We know there's already plenty of candy to be had on Halloween so this year Steele Heights Community League is hosting a Great Soup Adventure for all our local ghosts and ghouls. The first 100 trick-or-treaters that come knocking on the doors around the York School greenspace will have the chance to participate in collecting items to bring home for a delicious fall soup to share with their family.
The soup ingredients are all halal, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free compliant and fully customizable. Don't like potatoes in your soup? You are free to skip the ingredient at that house or take one home to use in another recipe.
Stop by the York Park splashpark gazebo (southwest corner of 58 St and 140 Ave) to collect your Adventure Pack complete with a soup starter kit and a map of all the ingredient locations at homes around the green space. We recommend stopping by before you begin your adventure but you are welcome to start gathering ingredients at any point during your trick-or-treating. Participating homes will have a sign displayed when you get to their front porch.
Our event station will also be providing a tea and hot chocolate throughout the night for chilly trick-or-treaters and their parents. Caffeine free and vegan options will be available. We will also be selling memberships and providing info upcoming events and programs happening with the league.
We have limited supplies so it's best to stop by earlier in the night if you plan to participate. Hope to see you then!
