The Great Pool Challenge gives fans of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team and fans of the great game of pocket billiards the chance to mingle and enjoy a fun night of food, fun and unique entertainment, while raising funds for the Madison Square and the Garfield Boys & Girls Clubs.

Unveiling the Brooklyn Nets Pool Table

The event will be the first public viewing of a unique pool table that Dan Brandt designed to commemorate the Brooklyn Nets 10-Year Anniversary. Constructed from reclaimed court wood from the Brooklyn Nets inaugural season 2012-13.

Charity Event. Net proceeds from this event will go to the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club and the Garfield Boys & Girls Club.

Limited seating for 350 guests in the elite 40/40 CLUB at Barclays Center.

• First 100 people to purchase tickets are eligible to attend our Early Bird Practice Court Experience, People going to the practice court must wear tennis or rubber soled shoes.

• After check-in at Qatar Airways VIP Entrance, you will go down the elevator to the Brooklyn Nets practice court,

• Royal Ivey, Assistant Coach, Brooklyn Nets will give an overview of how and when the players practice and answer any questions you may have about the team.

• Ivey will work with kids from the local Boys & Girls Clubs on drills in dribbling, passing and shooting.

• Early Bird Guests will receive a piece of reclaimed hardwood flooring from the Brooklyn Nets 2012-13 inaugural season.

• Guests should plan to arrive at Barclays Center and enter through the Qatar Airways VIP Entrance anytime from 6:00 - 6:45 PM

• After check-in, you will go up the escalator to the fabulous 40/40 CLUB.

• Delicious Buffet Meal & Non-Alcoholic Drinks (available at 6:15 pm). With music setting a festive mood, you can sample the delicious food from the buffet bar and mingle with our elite crowd of guests and partners! You might be surprised at who you meet!

• Cash Bar. Your choice of alcoholic beverages will be available from the full-service cash bar.

• Our MC – Sarah Kustok. Emmy award winning Brooklyn Nets Game Analyst for YES Network, Sarah Kustok will introduce our host, Dan Brandt, Founder & Master Designer of Billiards by Brandt for opening remarks. Dan will discuss how he combines technology and art to design and build the Brooklyn Nets table and other sporting tables and sculptures.

• Executives from NBALAB. Will describe how they license products to vendors on behalf of the NBA. They will discuss now they licensed Dan Brandt to use reclaimed hardwood from the Brooklyn Nets inaugural season to build the rails for Brooklyn Nets 10-Year Anniversary Pool Table.

• Florian “Venom” Kohler. Considered by many to be the greatest artistic pool trick shot artist in the world today, Florian will put on an amazing show that features masse (curve) shots, jump shots and various trick shots.

• Kids from the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club and the Garfield

Boys & Girls Club try their hand at challenge shots.

• Royce O’Neale, Forward and Nic Claxton, Center, for your Brooklyn Nets. will do their best to perform some pool trick shots under Florian’s watchful eyes.

• Royce and Nic to play challenge matches in 8-ball or 9-ball vs our special guests or audience members.

• Our top-level amateur player, Timmy, will be taking on all comers for challenge matches on a rare 1936 era pool table that Dan Brandt has restored. Two tables equals twice the fun.

• At the end of the evening, Royce O’Neale, Nic Claxton, Dan Brandt, and Florian Kohler will meet with guests and pose for photos as time permits.

• Guests will have access to digital photos to provide a lasting memory of a truly remarkable, fun event!

Security & Safety. Every guest will be required to go through a security screening upon entering the building.

In-House Live Streaming. This event will be video recorded and live streamed to TV’s throughout the 40/40 CLUB

Digital Photos. Our photographer will be snapping photos of the event. Digital photos of the event will be made available to ticketed guests free of charge.

In addition, Holder grants to The Brooklyn Events Center LLC, ( and their respective designees and agents) permission to collect, use, share and store certain Holder facial and other biometric information as permitted by law, including for security purposes.
