When a Chinese-American basketball player from the streets of San Francisco lands in Beijing in 1989, he is caught in a cultural and political battle on and off the court. As turmoil unfolds in Tiananmen Square, walls fall and secrets are revealed. Lauren Yee’s The Great Leap explores the risks of speaking out and standing your ground in this fast-paced dramatic comedy that will have you gripped until the final buzzer sounds.

The exhibit will be open to the public 45 mins before each show and during box office hours Monday-Friday 10 am-4 pm in the BLUEBARN Lobby.

Jimmy Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American actor and artist originally from Omaha, NE. He has worked at various theatre institutions across the country including apprenticing as a scenic artist at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in the Bay Area, California, and is currently the graphic designer here at the BLUEBARN Theatre.
