Lately we've noticed communities everywhere need a little bit of love and attention.
For this reason, The Full Spectrum and Hempfest have joined forces to present "The Great Green Sweep", a series of community trash cleanups!!
Anyone 18-years-old and over is welcome to join us. Bring a friend. Bring a group.
Please make sure everyone registers so we have as close to an accurate headcount as possible for organizing and supplies.

SEASON OPENER!!
We will be starting with Capitol Hill, Seattle on July 24th. Our goal is to do 30 cleanups around the country by August 21st, Hempfest's 30th Anniversary.

Safety Information ( PLEASE READ!!):
Please wear appropriate clothing:
? Long sleeved shirts
? Long pants
? Sturdy, closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops please)
? High-Visibility Safety Vest (provided)
? Work Gloves (provided)
Other helpful items to bring along also include:
? Sunglasses
? Sun Screen
? Avoid overexertion and overheating by drinking plenty of water and taking breaks.
Areas to Avoid:
? Steep embankments
↩️ Areas with blind curves
? Areas with narrow shoulders
? Areas of suspicious and hazardous items
Do not stand or jump on guard rails, drainage pipes, or concrete walls.
Make sure your team lead knows about any allergies or physical limitations you may have.
Be seen, be safe.
Face oncoming traffic.
Walk in groups to increase visibility.
Never assume a driver sees you.
Wear your high-visibility vest at all times.
Be careful.
Always keep safety in mind.
Never enter the roadway to pick up trash.
Be prepared for any unexpected behavior of motorists, and don't distract drivers by waving to them or engaging in horseplay.
Keep your attention focused on your job and the environment around you.
It's important to be able to hear others in your group and approaching traffic. Please do not listen to music devices while volunteering.
No mind-altering substances before or during the cleanup.
Don't pick up hazardous materials such as:
Car batteries
Petroleum products or other chemicals
Heavy or unwieldy objects
Dead animals
Broken glass
Needles and drug paraphernalia
Or any unidentified questionable items.
If it's unknown, leave it alone.
Possible hazardous materials include:
Fertilizer
Flammable Solvents
Concentrated herbicides
Insects
By-products of drug laboratories
Items that are suspected of hazardous chemicals or human waste shall be left untouched.
All needles should be taken care of by the appointed team lead.
If you find any suspicious items, our primary concern is your safety. Stay away from these items and make sure everyone in your group stays away from them too.
Key words to look for on labels are "CAUTION" "WARNING" and "DANGER".
Use common sense.
If in doubt, walk away.
Do not handle or attempt to move these materials.
Other tips: Please do not remove political campaign or other signs while performing the cleanup. If you are concerned they are posted illegally in the road right of way, contact event staff.
Signs that are lying on the ground are considered trash, and are okay to remove.
Use only the provided trash bags.
Don't overfill the trash bags, and be sure no objects are protruding from them.
