Step into the roaring twenties as we travel to Newcastle, NSW, to experience this dazzling world premiere production of The Great Gatsby. Reimagining The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald with full theatrical spectacle, this extraordinary performance brings Gatsby’s world of ambition, romance and decadence vividly to life.
Directed and choreographed by Joel Burke, with narration arranged by James Millar, the production features a thrilling score that blends iconic works such as Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin and The Charleston by James P. Johnson, alongside bold new compositions by Jason Fernandez and Dominic Cabusi.
On stage, some of the world’s finest dancers deliver a genre-defying fusion of ballet, tap and jazz in a performance bursting with energy and precision. With breathtaking choreography, dazzling costumes, lavish sets and all the glitz and glamour of the Jazz Age, this spectacular production promises an unforgettable evening of theatre right here in Newcastle.

Itinerary:
Departing Port Bus around 17:30 (TBC), we pick up from the Port Coach Terminal and Ikew Information Centre. A comfort stop at Taree Service Centre before heading down to the Sunnyside Tavern for lunch, before arriving at the Civic Theatre Newcastle for our showtime of 13:30. Upon completion of the show, we will load and go with a comfort stop on our way home.
