Great Garden Rail Trail
Meet at Ipswich station at 10am, where you will be welcomed by hospice ambassadors and Alan Neville from Greater Anglia.
You will receive a complimentary bag with information about the future events of the hospice, information about the picturesque towns you can visit along the line and some free seeds donated by Thompson & Morgan.
Starting with a short ride from Ipswich to Beccles you’ll be joined onboard by the hospice ambassadors.
At Beccles, there will be a short talk from Suffolk Wildlife Trust and a chance to meet some of the volunteer station adopters that look after the flowers at the stations. You also have a chance to get some lunch and stretch your legs.
Your ticket will allow you to then carry on up the line, using your information guide, and see the work of the adopters.
You can visit some of the other towns along the line, maybe enjoy an ice cream on the beach at Lowestoft, or have a glass of wine at Woodbridge.
Alternatively, cross over the bridge and take in the stunning flowers at Westerfield (from BBC Gardeners World Fame) on your way back to Ipswich.
